I count myself as very lucky to still be playing tabletop after all these years. The roleplaying genre is fading, there are many reasons but it is much harder to get a group who will sit down on a regualr basis now.
Maybe as GM's we need to give our players a new title every day, something shiny and some daily quests which they have to do first every time you start a session. To speed up the sessions we could automatically give our players quests as the wander into a region, they won't even have to talk to a NPC. On second thoughts that would just make them all leave.
