At risk of putting my foot in my mouth about a culture I don't know all that well, I'd guess:
A long history of respect for the animation industry in general as something other than "just for kids."

What console are you using that puts out graphics like that??

Video games have used fantasy settings since the 70s, its not going anywhere.
The camera view SCREAMS console. It is also normal for console games to have previews rendered in higher res on a PC. The graphics themselves are not even remotely special IMO. The only thing that strikes me is it appears the resolution is very high. PS3 and X360 both put out similar graphics in 1080p, though not quite as sharp.
Well I would not like it - since control would be streamlined (dumbed-down) for pad, but if it release ALSO(don't believe than Koraan company would do ONLY for consoles, since most mmorpg market there is on PC) on consoles then it would release on new generation of consoles and not on Xbox 360 and PS3, since they would not be able to take on that graphics if game would have big dozens of players siege battles with that kind of graphics.
Black Desert Online (Tentative title) will be an Action MMORPG. It will be using the latest generation in graphics. The article talks about the exclusive licensing agreement and ceremony that occurred earlier in the week. The game will be centralized around the Fantasy sub-genre. The setting/atmosphere is lined with European-style buildings.
Mr. Kim Dane (CEO of PearlAbyss) says they believe they will be able to satisfy both the Japanese and the South Korean MMORPG markets. Service is scheduled to happen sometime around the the 2nd half of 2013.
They do go into some detail with castle sieges etc. No word yet about the game coming to the European or North American markets as of yet.

Maybe there isn't one :P
Yeah, I know it's a long shot. But one of things I'm definately liking from the TESO release is the talk of minimalist UI, so the idea is coming.
(And yes, I know others will hate it.)
