Don't delete your Gw2.dat file. That's a lot to download again. You can copy it to another directory if you want to try a fresh install... but it seems as if the patch server is down and the client's error message is inappropriately vague and ominous.
I was all good until I downloaded todays patches. I get the same error as the above users. I decided to attempt to clean up everything to start fresh while cleaning out anything else that might be left in registry. Sadly no dice still, so has to be on their end like the other was saying.
I hope they fix this soon lol.

So, basically nothing on this site or any other has helped at all. I'm not trying to update, I'm new to the beta and am just trying to Download the client. Is the general consensus here that we just have to wait until they fix it on their end?

Not really, it is still beta and problem with the patcher/client is a typical beta thing. If it happened after launch things would be different though.

Yeah, but if you can´t fix a issue like this in a few months you should not make MMOs...
I seen the same issue in many betas, it usually gets fixed up pretty fast. Even AoC fixed it before launch.

Downloaded 2 seperate patches earlier today without a hitch.
Hopefully this is a server side issue and maybe it will be corrected by tomorrow.

I already downloaded the new updated patcher. Same issue occurs pretty much.
