Anyone know or have a link?   Last I heard it was 700k around launch but that was just by word-of-mouth.   Just curious on how the game is doing atm compared to other recent mmos like SWTOR, Rift, Aion, etc.

Tbe Repopulation will be what SWTOR shouldve been.

i also heard about 700k.  i don't think we will hear any other numbers until the game has been out for at least a month.  (it's only been about 3 weeks since launch)

over 700,000 subscribers, I don't know if that's in the U.S. only, or world wide. Im kind of guessing it's all regions combined....

It sales are 170k according to VGchartz, not sure how accurate it is but given SWTOR has 2.34 mil it seems to be fairly accurate.

Looking at VG it looks to be 170k West since it released, which would put 530k in the East where it's been out for a year.

Dont know about subs, but this is from vgchartz. http://www.vgchartz.com/game/44073/tera/  0.17 Mill.

This is swtor. http://www.vgchartz.com/game/31584/star-wars-the-old-republic/  2.34 MIll.

So TERA subs atm could be 170k, but probably even less than that.

That doesn't seem right at all, EU has 10 servers and NA has 11, from what I can tell they are just as populated as NAs servers...

So how does NA have a playerbase so much larger than EUs?

It even says En Masse is the publisher in Europe...since when?

whats interesting is SWTOR is selling twice as many compies a week the last two weeks as TERA

I remember reading about some players from EU that were going to play on the NA servers instead of the EU ones. That may be why they're more even as far as population.

Edit,my numbers are off here,if more people play on U.S. servers there should be alot more there than in EU.Something seems wrong in the numbers.

NA population is always significantly larger than EU population.

However, the VGchartz numbers cant be trusted, take this example: http://www.vgchartz.com/game/49494/rift/

Rift clearly has sold more than 500k copies

I looked at rift right away after being linked to the site and then decided to look at D3 and yeah both seem way off..

    http://www.vgchartz.com/game/24178/diablo-iii/  2.09million ...lol.

Yea I think it peaked around 650k subs, maybe a little less (Rift) I think VGchartz misses some of the digital download sales.

doesn't this site only attempt to estimate box sales anyway? most of diablo 3 was probably digital download and im sure Rift had a good portion difital as well.

If it only estimates box sales then we'll never come close to knowing the true numbers as most MMOs nowadays are primarily bought through digital download.

SWTOR seems like the only one that is close, all the other MMOs seem way off and some like Age of Conan and Aion don't even show up.

    Sad, really.

SWTOR will probably sell decently for a long period of time, too.  Because it's star wars.

Plus I don't think EnMasse got many boxes out to stores.

It's an unknown game with eastern style (which cooresponds to a crapton of horrible games) from a small distributer.  The only way you'd know about it is if you're already interested in MMOs.

If I wasn't basically an MMO addict, and came accross boxes of SWTOR and TERA (assuming I could find a box in a store), and was interested in trying online games, you can bet your ass I'd be buying SWTOR.

Subs and sales for this game are going to be on the low end for sure.  I kind of doubt it even has 170k actual subscriptions in NA and Europe.  But I think it has space and reason to grow for sure.

Luckily it doesn't need mammoth subs to keep going.  EnMasse is small and I'm sure their dev budget was small since most of it consisted simply of translating.  As far as I can tell, bluehole doing Ktera is still doing most of the developing.  It's not like SWTOR where they need to make back hundreds of millions of dollars or anything.

I've seen boxes at Best Buy. Possibly micro center but sometimes it's all a blur.

700k? You must be smoking some really good stuff! Care to share?

Keep it in mind that publishers won't give you the exact numbers of their subscriptions. So at the moment the best you can do is count the number of servers.

It HAD BEEN REPORTED BY EA themselves

that SWTOR is sitting on 1.2 million sub.

    Not 2.3m

That's sales only what vgchart is counting.  However, this game is DIGITAL sales mainly by bluehole through a 3rd party.

    VGchart cann't track those.

    none

If I had to guess I'd say between 150-300k.  It isn't suffering from the 1-month massive fallout that most games do though.

I do hope it grows from what is currently a modest base. The game deserves it (even through frogster doesn't for us EU customers).

The foundations are there, great engine, great graphics, and great gameplay. It just needs activities, more battlegrounds, more accessible and tiered progression, more interesting PVP and PVE activities, some class balance tweaks.

The enchanting system is pure bleeding eyes korean pain and the dungeons are getting repetitive. They need to change that somehow for us non-asians.

It just needs more bits and pieces added on; with a MMO foundation this solid, it would be a shame to not give Tera everything it needs to thrive and grow.

I'm optimistic, the new info on QOA pt2 is really nice, warrior and lancer changes, even zerker changes are coming so i assume there be fixes for other classes as well. battleground and improved nexus and 3 new dungeon. Its good for me i guess coz i have summer class so i can't really play too much till its over so it kinda matches up with me coz i finish around mid july and the patch is in aug or so. Works out perfectly for few weeks sitll school starts again XD.
