Tera has my vote! Wish it would get more hype, it is definitely underrated so far. If you like open world PVP then you are gonna love this game. The community in Tera is strong too, alot of interaction. I'm in love with this game so far.

Is it even a question ask ? GW2 will dominate but I do like the fact that TSW has no classes or levels which is appealing to me.

Grim Dawn, the next great action rpg!

Don't forget Vanguard f2p this summer.

Don't know about TSW, but GW2 is a much superior game than TERA and it's just in beta, so no contest here. This is coming from someone who owns Tera and has played the GW2 Beta. Don't get me wrong TERA is a good game with its fan base and it's main advantage is that it was released before GW2 else it probably wouldn't have done good at all.

Remember... all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.

I still have objections to the popori and ellin, I still think Tera is a bit underwhelming on the immersion/lore side, and maybe it could do with more pvp tools, but it's such a beautifully made (omg those graphics, mmo graphics better than 99% of single player games) and playable, fun game that it really is a contender.

Also been playing the GW2 beta and that is also very good, not as pretty as Tera but the gameplay is also great and it really does have a competitive esport feel to it with classes and maps designed for competitive play.

TSW is a wild card. It looks amazing... but it's Funcom. And we all know Funcom. Hopefully though they can get it right as what they have shown so far looks superb. I guess now they no longer have Gaute, they have a chance at success.

What became immediately obvious to me however when playing Tera and GW2 is how screwed older MMOs are. SWTOR, etc and even WoW look so crap and dull compared to the new crop, this year is actually really exciting for MMO players as it looks like the old guard are about to become old news.

Thank you for posting such a level headed review of these games .  I get so tired of the  "this game sucks because I thi k it sucks" or " this game is awesome because it will change the MMO world as we know it" reviews.

I am somewhat interested in trying Tera but the soft porn aspect of it for me is a real turn off.  I like a pretty girl in a thong as much as the next guy but, come on, it's a game and I really don't need that. Plus I have kids and I don't need them looking over my shoulder seeing that.

i will wait for now and play eq2. I am interested in TSW since it has a much different story line.  Fantasy is wearing a bit thin.

Most themeparks you play just the beta or just some months will enjoyable...after that you get sick of it

GW2 and tera are just WoW clones. Now TSW by other hand "seems" will score, forget funcom reputation,we have blizzard for WoW and each producer company have a bad title or 2 to be highlighted

Most important you are forgeting ARCHEAGE what i think will be the best game for years to come

PS: your signature is related to WoW im plenty sure,i lol for that...gz xD

Yes, the race for second place will be between GW2, TSW and Tera.

Mists of Pandaria will claim first place without any problem at all, none will come even close to the amount WoW sells.

ur wrong, Swtor is still #1 till 2020, they will keep giving out free monthly sub to keep their 2 million sub bragging right.

Having tested GW2 in closed beta and played tera on the korean servers and EU beta I can say TSW is the only game im looking forward to at the moment, I have yet to play it so yeah it could suck balls.. so will have to wait for TSW..

Out of Tera and GW2 i would have to say GW2 wins out as im not a huge fan of the asian art style..

    Yeh .. this.

CATA sells what? 3.5M copies in the first month. Can any of these games hit 3M in a month?

Tera and Rift are WoW clones, same ole crappola.

TSW might be something new, we shall see.

GW2 is just a fun game, and great for PvP guilds.

You honestly think any MMO this year will sell more than Mists of Pandaria? If you do, you are seriously deluded.

And Acheage? Really? A sandbox beating ANY themepark? Seriously deluded dude.....

No other MMO will even sell 3+ million copies in a full year, let alone a month.

I predict Mists of Pandaria will sell 2.5-4 million in the first month.

I think that GW2 will have the biggest success out of these 3 MMOs although personally I'm not interested in it. If FC manages to deliver this time TSW will be a hit too. I think that a lot of people have been waiting for this type of game/world setting - modern time, no levels, horror theme, myths to become true.

Hopefully Tera keeps blinking on radar longer than a couple of months but I would not bet much on supersized weapons and soft porn in Western countries. On the other hand, the more playable MMOs and choice we have the merrier.

TSW?? Really ?? A Browser based game??Why don't you throw Angry Birds in Space into the mix.......Im banning myself cause that is the most ridiculous thing I've heard today.....image

I'm really excited for TSW. I've never seen a game where you're no longer tied to specific class roles. I haven't given GW2 a shot, but I probably won't be doing TERA because of the things I've been hearing about it. TSW wins simply because customizability, something I've always loved in RPG games is coming to an MMO.

Since when The Secret World is a browser based game? This statement is too trollish even for this site.

You're forgetting about NeverWinter Nights MMO at the end of the year.

    That's my pick.

GW2 will sure get the most, simply because it is F2P (+ expensive cash shop, however). Still I bet my cards on TSW at the moment, at least for the game that interests me the most. I must admit much about TSW is still a mystery. (Yeah, pun intended...) I guess only time will tell.

I don't see TERA as a big competitor though, it will likely fare like AION, many at first play it, then the grind drives them away when the "new and shiny" time is passed. Several months ago I would have said GW2 was the clear leader, but it seems to have too many issues to be that clear a top dog.

i think they will all find their player base and niche

    Yep.

My personal pick is GW2. Played it, loved it. I tried the TERA beta and it wasn't for me, at all. Just not my thing. I can't speak of TSW, as I haven't tried it.
