The Guild Wars 2 team has announced that beta sign ups for the highly anticipated title from Arena.net have opened and will stay open for 48 hours.

Head to the Guild Wars 2 site to get started. WARNING: The site may be overloaded. Be patient!

    The first thing I done when I saw the link was to do it before it crashed due to transit

    now im glad I did it in this order xD

    not exactly sure if i should be happy to see i'm not the only one who's having that problem signing up for the beta.

    It took me about 8 refreshes to get in and another one to admit my profile. But since they said it is up for 48 hours you probably can wait a while.

    Worked for me earlier today. Do NOT keep refreshing the page yall, that just crashes webpages even faster considering many other people would be doing the same. Don't start a trend ;x Got 48 hours as of today to sign up, you'll get it in eventually.

    Well that's good. Because I got into the page from work only to realize that they want to download a tool to get specs.

    Have to wait until I get home.

    If you get error, try again, and make sure you run that analyzing tool as administrator if you get send error.

    Just worked for me, smooth and easy. Might have deteceted I am in the EU and used a different server? who Knows. No confirmation email (of the signup).

    Just F5'd my way to the sign up process. Now all I have to do is wait for the confirmation.

    Thank you for the reminder. For some reason I never got the Guild Wars 2 Newsletter, altho I registered for it like 10 times.

    Is there a certain issue with hotmail?

    Why not use that to your advantage to increase your chances at getting in (with another e-mail)?

    Or do they check that kind of info later on?

    The site worked for me, as I got in by F5'ing. Now I'm F5'ing my e-mails. Still nothing. Maybe ArenaNet has something against Brits. :P

    You can go back to the site and keep using the resubmit option until your email comes through... it's what I had to do.

    Although you could probably just wait... but f that

    Does make me wonder though, why not just ask for a dxdiag diagnostic file?


    My guesses: don't want to have to explain to the computer illiterate and thusly alienate people OR


    think that some people are cleaver enough to report false information via the readout document.

    Their DXdiag tool got my graphics card wrong!

    It detected my integrated adapter that runs my secondary display (crap)

    Yeah, I can't download their tool on a company computer. I do have access to a dxdiag from my own computer but it seems they want the dxdiag generated from their tool.

    In any case, end of work day can't come fast enough.
