I am not making thse up on the fly.

These are from legitimate wesbites.  SWTORArena.com and xfire.  Taken directly from those websites.  Nothing was made up.

I have atleast heard of Xfire... but some random arena site? I mean come on.

Xfire also caters more towards free to play games for highly played games on their system as well. MMos never tend to fair well for their tracking in that community which is a widely known trend for since well forever. I understand the doom and gloom people wish to cast over a video game in which they dislike and by all means go for it as people are going to downplay the game you like just the same as no MMo is perfect or will ever be perfect for everyone. However to ignore facts and skew truths is pretty annoying so just letting you know why as you may troll others they will more than likely troll you back.

I completely agree, especially about Xfire and it's application to MMOs.

As for the graphs, they might be from a legitimate website but they aren't being presented in a legitimate fashion as detonated by said websites.

If nothing else, our bumps will point people towards the truth.

We really need separate forums for every newly launched game. There can be the anti-<MMO> one and there can be the 'what general discussion should be' one. All the lamenting can happen together where each can find solace in like minded can't-move-on-ers leaving the rest of us to actually move forward and discuss meaningful and relevant topics.

Question:  Why do people who actively seek a game to die care?

I'd love to know?   The OP herself is very very anti SWTOR even when she was given the game by someone she herself pointed out how ironic it was that someone who hates the game was given it..

So what are you trying to prove by making this thread?

Oh wow a game that came out had a decline... THATS EVERY SINGLE GAME IN ITS FIRST YEAR!

holy crap you guys are seriously nuts.

WoW had declines in its first months, lets not even talk about Warhammer, Rift, or FFXI.

If you think this has ANY bearing on a games life span, you are ignorant.

But...this is population not subs.  People are more likely to log into a game when they first buy it, so population will always be skewed very high at release.  So I don't think it means that nearly 50% of people unsubbed...but I think it does mean that a significant amount did.

That's a good point. Also, given that it was around the holidays, people have more time to play. After the holidays, not so much.
