Greetings fellow Earth Eternal fans,
It's been a blast observing the Earth Eternal community participate in the Beta program and your feedback has been invaluable
Unfortunately, Earth Eternal will be saying goodbye on Thursday November 24th 2011 at 9:00 pm EST
We are still determining future plans for Earth Eternal but those have not been finalized and we hope to share them with you as soon as we can
We hope you had an awesome time because we certainly did
The Earth Eternal team
No official message was ever posted on their official website or forums, nor has any explanation been given. The only real information has come from former Community Manager (under Sparkplay Media) and Lead Designer (under TurnOut Ventures), Andrew Sipotz (piggypops) who stated no developers have been assigned to work on Earth Eternal for quite some time. This explaind the complete lack of official communication on the game's official forms.
Earth Eternal was a game that--like many others--had tremendous potential, but fell short in execution. Many of us who played the game during beta under Sparkplay Media hoped the many issues we had then would be fixed under TurnOut Ventures, but that turned out to not be the case.
This turn of events is both disappointing and frustrating. It would be fantastic if somebody could pick up the IP and actually put the necessary resources into fixing and completing it, but I'd be surprised if that ever happened.
