Dear Dragona Devs..........

This kind of tactic is frowned upon here on these forums. When you create multiple accounts to hype your own game like this it does not have the desired effect. Players will slam a game that doesn't genuinely belong on the top voted list and you will lose far more players than you could possibly gain with that kind of tactic.

I hope the mods look into this.

    Haha, yea its rather pathetic.

Seconded. PR like that should make you feel dirty.

It looks like all other games are going down now, rather than Dragona going up. Every game in the top 15 (except Dragona) have gone down at least three points since yesterday. Strange.

Eh, I mean considering this game is mostly out in the PHILLIPINES, should set off all kinds of red flags.

If you look at their pathetic PR on facebook, the publishers for the NA branch are entirely of no use. Every post they've made for the last 2 months is "Hey guys ^^ we have teaser site please tell all ur friends to check it out!!!"

Who the hell cares if there's a teaser site? The PH version is in English and their forums have plenty of game info that every half-competent gamer can access >_>

Not to mention it's taking them over 2 months to setup forums, every link on their teaser site re-directs to their stupid facebook page.

And I have tried out the PH version of Dragona, I am not impressed. A lot of it was due to lag causing UI issues, but I don't have very high hopes for the NA version. Not to mention the obvious cash shop imbalance from day 1, lol.

Dragona going up again, now with 100% more gusto.

If they keep going like this, it'll pass up GW2 by tomorrow! :D

    Your Rank is too low

Your user rank of 0/100 is not high enough to hype games yet. We require that members have at least a 5/100 rank to hype our games. This helps prevent abuse of our hype system. Achieving this rank is fairly easy and only requires minimal activity with our site.

They need to increase the rank imo!

MMORPGs aren't easy, You're just too PRO!

And they need to pay some attention to their hype meter... seriously, can it be any more obvious?

Whats worse than the fake hype is that they may be downrating other games as well. The ratings for others games dropped A LOT during the last month. Something is very wrong here.

Well, the fake accounts all have two hypes per 24 hours, but cannot hype Dragona more than once. Where do you think they're going to put the other one? :P

The real problem here is not the Dragona devs.  It's the creators of the hype meter and the people who are there to police suspiscious behavior.  If the people in charge cared and were actually doing their job, this wouldn't happen.  It's easily exploitable as it is right now and all of us know it.  You'd think a new system would be put in place.  No, unfortunately this is how most businesses or in this case, websites, are run.  It's not like it's a new thing either, as this has been going on for years.  There's really no excuse.

Usually MMORPG.com fixes it, this time for some reason though they seem to be ignoring it :(

Even after calling them out, still nothing is done.  There is almost no traffic in their forums here other than people confused as to why they are rated so high.  You'd think Dragona would have their ratings dropped to zero and locked for a certain time period similar to how posters get suspended for breaking TOS.  Shouldn't such a blatant abuse of the ratings system bring the same kind of punishment to a game?

I've forwarded this along so we can look into it. Thanks!

We can now confirm that abuse of the hype/rating system has occurred here, so we've gone ahead and  removed the inflated ratings and disabled rating of the game for the immediate future.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Hahahaha, talk about failing before even starting.

The game's not even in CBT, the exact same info has been available for almost a year now, and they've already dug themselves into a whole, and there wasn't even a cash shop involved!
