Things to know about this game

I've played Fairyland since it was in beta days, then moved onto the Taiwan release, Malaysian Release, European release and when that was shut down, the all new free to play lagernet release at http://fairyland.lagernet.com

Fairyland is the traditional 2D turn based RPG system with a 3D style cartoony graphical look. The game itself is very good even though it may not look it through screenshots. It has a nice variety of classes and races that can be played, including the very popular Beastmaster class that allows you to catch any creature in the game and either tame it and level it up as your own, or sell it to other players.

A player can have up to ten pets that can help them in battles. Pets have an elemental status and can be equipped to either your weapon, armor, magic, soul etc. Raising the intimacy of your pets increases the likelihood that they will not attack you in bettle which they don't if you raise it to 30 or above.

The classes have good skills and are fairly well balanced and give the player unique gameplay styles through each class.

Did anyone want workskills? this game has plenty, way too many to count. One good thing they have done in a newer patch was the release of Harvest Island. The island allows you to set your character up to automatically farm a material of your choice and of course to the character's skill level. This makes it very easy to gather materials unlike in the past.

Using the item mall payment process to purchase Fairylant Tokens and using those tokens is pretty straight forward and very easy, no problems with this game doing that even with paypal and credit card payments.

In all the only downside of the game is that it is quite difficult to make money within the game and things do cost quite a bit. If you are however looking for a good retro style MMORPG, then Fairyland is well worth the try.

Honor the brave who fought,
Honor the dead who fell,
Honor the world they saved.
