Monthly fee removal for PSU?

I have heard from a friend that the monthly fee for PSU was removed. Is that true?

If not, will it ever? The fee isn't worth it...10$ a month is too much. Is there any plans

to lower it or anything? Any and all information about this matter would be nice.

Well, from what I was able to glean, sega is still charging a fee. There is a 360 multiplayer demo you can download; however, it seems you need to have a character already. This could just be me not understanding how to use it though.

Oh trust me I've played the demo lol. It's free but so much stuff is limited.

There was a short time last year I think where billing was suspended, but that was because of issues with the billing system. It wasn't an intended thing.

Likely, the only time they're going to remove the fee is when the game is about to close, like they did with Blue Burst.

I remember when I first downloaded this game on Xbox360...

The game was great for the first few days, cause after doing the same levels over and over again and all the grinding I had to do, it was really getting to the boring side of things.  This game still had this look and feel that really drew me in to it's world and I really liked that part of it.

After I heard that there was a monthly fee for this game, i was like hmm?? It's not a MMO, why would they charge 9.99 a month?  I did go out and buy the game a few monthly later , there was so much lack of new content, it was really buggy and it was the same game I played for free when the demo game out.  

Even Guild Wars is a F2P game and all you had to buy was the Game and Expansions, this was something I did enjoy.

I've heard there is new content since I've played it and ...that makes me wonder how is the game now.. and is it still with a 9.99 monthly charge.  I still have the game collecting dust on the shelf, but I may just take it out and see whats been going on for the past few years.  I wonder if I will have a monthly charge or not.

This game has so much potential to be much bigger and what I think Sega should do is scrap this build and make a new Phanstasy Star Univerise MMO and then tackle the 9.99 fee.

This wasn't really a thread to review the game but I seriously disagree.

The online side of the game is amazing. To me, grinding is fun in this game. If you ever played

the full content version of the online multiplayer you'd see what I mean.(I payed the monthly fee

for about 2 months but then stopped because my mom wouldn't pay it anymore lol.)

Tons of weapons,armor,clothes,communty is generally nice. The demo version has a lot of

porn and cyber spammers...Only 2 planets, a lvl 20 cap, bot ability is seriously lacking, drops are

better, missions are avaliable, more class, better character customization, it's a lot better.

But paying 10 bucks a month for the ability to make a custom character is asking too much of the gaming crowd.....

I'm kinda liking the One-Time fee offer that they do at playsega.com... but what I don't like the continues payment though.
