RF Online is now Free 2 Play

Just thought id let anyone know who may be interested and anyone who hasnt already heard about it. Im quite suprised that no announcement has been made in the news section on here (if it has been i missed it ), im guessing it will probably be announced at a later date.

All in all its a good game, with nice PVP later on, every class has its own role to play which is also nice and it makes it pretty well balanced.

You may aswell decide for yourselves what you think of it especially since it is now free.

I couldn't figure out what game you were talking about until I saw the Codemasters links.  It's almost kind of sad that I never actually knew what the RF stood for.

Expected some sort of reply like this one. Get it every time no matter what game is posted.

Ill say what is always said. 5 mins simply is not long enough to form a valid opinion of a game. If you had said an hour or 2 hours then i would have said fair enough.

It does have a grind to it though, not as bad as beta. I belive the exp and skill exp has been increased since beta.

I've meant to get this.. but the whole codemasters things always seemed like a big pain the ass, bleh.. I don't need another mmo.. but I'll probably get it eventually.

I can't even understand why you posted that, other than to pad your post count.  I'm not even going to bother explaining it, because it's quite obvious from the thread itself that I knew what RF online stood for from my first post in here, after opening the thread.

Well for the person who played it for 5 minutes... I played it for a few months on release and while the chip wars were fun at first the PT grind really started getting to me. And after a while I realized that the elite few who hit max level could take on 30 other mid-level players in pvp. Maybe it's different now with more people hitting max level, but starting RFO now would be unbearable PvP-wise. I don't see anyone putting a dent into the max levels until they are max level themselves. This is compared to a game like WoW where in PvP 20 level 40's could take a 70 with ease.

Hell there are 19 twink guilds that used to raid lvl 60s.
