This game's client has Trojans

I got skrewed rather bad. I was looking forward to this game 'n' all..and it seriously dissapointed me...I got my computer loaded with security systems..and when i started installing it..message came up about it having trojans...I was stupid (too excited to try it) and ignored the message...That was a week ago...Now, my security systems finally dug all the trojans out, but i had my comp disabled for a week...And I still didn't get to try it...

Oh well, just a message informing ya'll with weak or no security systems on comp what this game can do..Now I got a *gasp* $5,000 charge on my comp for buying porn vids . I've never watched a single porn thing in my life...

Seems the trojans stole my credit card number and other things cause my game accounts (other game accounts, not LOA have had items dissapearing).

Just a warning. Ditch your dreams about this game and find another one. Don't even download it.

Luckily I havent had any money stolen however you are correct. This games client does have trojans and key loggers.

Xzen, I have a question. Have you had a security warning come up on about 1/10 of client installation?

I'll also make a poll about this to everyone who cares about their computer's safety and reads this post.

Not only did I get a security warning. When I tried to uninstall it fried my system. I was able to get it back up and running in the same day but it was a pain.

Yea...It's a pain..especially if you lose cash (5 thousand bucks in my case)

For the good of mmorpg members and visitors..i hope they look at this thread before skrewing up their comp and risking huge money loss.

trojans and keylogers infected the computers of the people who played the game and searched for a link who was given by "good" people from the game....this stupidity happened to the players who wanted to hack the game for uber items, fast leveling, etc....but of course all was a fraud ....and that site that was infected....was a nasty one...especially made it from dumb asses who want to cheat every game they play and search a bunch of cracked programs, corrupted sites or something else.........believe me..normal players dont have to be afraid of play it...play it fair..and it will be JUST FINE.....by the way I play it from June 2006....and I dont have no problems with it....

Gargh are you ever messed? I downloaded the official game client from the site...The one reccomended by the game makers...I don't cheat in games. ever. And since I take care of my computer, I only download from official sources...If the official source stole $5000 bucks from me, it's not cause of me...Come to think of it, I'll probably sue this game within a week...I have the right to if they place keyloggers and trojans into the official client...Maybe you don't have problems cause your comp's so crap you can't distinguish which is a computer problem and which is a trojan...And the fact that you didn't get an alert from your security system...Wait, what security system...You don't even have one, so my case rests there...

I have a very good comp.....dont worry....and I know very decently about most of hardware or software problems.....you ever wondered maybe you HAD ALREADY trojans or keylogers in you comp before you downloaded the LoA client? how it comes that so many peoples play it for so long time and have no problems....only you say about this problems....how it happened this? a..? c'mon...be real...

Omg dude...I have 800 bucks worth of virus detection..actually a little more..you're saying i had trojans and keyloggers before...very funny...by saying that, ur sayin the best protection systems in this world are unreliable..and not to mention my comp costs more than 10,000....pounds. I'm protected, and I know u all noobs posting on this....ur probab all the ppl who made the viruses and want ppl to download them and ruin their comp..i got mine fixed..but i lost cash. so dude...i can't put it nicely..so i won't say anything...take ur ill-gotten profit and admit the fact which u already know...the LoA official client has trojans....i found out sadly by not listening to high risk alarms of trojans from my security systems..

haha...you're funny man...and....you can have comp worth thousands bucks or protection systems costing the same....if you cant manage them or they give you instability or security problems...that's it....dont flame anymore...I am nor hacker, nor cracker, nor nothing...a simple computer operator like you.....btw I have no bussines with Mgame who made this game...they suck anyway (I refer to GMs and Dev's)...I only debated with you the game....sometimes too many protection (on comp) is not benefic for that system....use a simple good antivirus and a simple firewall...it should be enough...with very little money..trust me ....as I post in other thread I use Nod32 antivirus (is very good to use Kaspersky or BitDefender too) and a Nvidia hardware firewall (is very good to use Kerio, Zone Alarm or Sygate too).....

I played this game awhile ago and i had no warnings. Maby the troyans came later. Well it's not a bad game, but ye the troyan problem is serious.

I installed the game a few days ago.  Didn't get a security warning.  And thus far nothing bad has happened to me.  I used one of the download links on the official site.  Prolly download.com, but I can't remember for sure.  So far so good.  A pretty fun game too!

Well thx for the warning im not gonna download it if even one person had issues my comp (Cheap as it may have been) is still something id like to keep it working order

Well, whether you get a security warning or not depends on what kind of security system you are using at the moment. Some are more advanced, some less advanced...I got a few because I don't want to skrew up my comp and so far it kept my system well...Except for the time I ignored the warning for trojans in LoA...That was stupid...All who don't have problems with it..Good for you ...But maybe you just don't notice them. Trojans aren't all critical problems immediately.

wow thx ........it`s kinda weird cuz i played this game like a year ago and when i downloaded i got trojans to and ALOT of spyware

ok ive never played the game bfor so dont take my word for it

but trojans from playing the game may not hav to do with the client

wut i do kno is i lower my internet security wenever i go to play any game at all

so my thought is it could b sumone hacking u from in game contact.......

but like i sed its just a thought

but thatd b the first thing id chek out

then id get riddof the trojans and try again

if theyre bak delete em and start playing a new game
